Rama Lake

It came as a result of the sinking of the river bed in 1968. Rama Lake scene seems unreal and is one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe. The lake is in its purity and beauty ideal for hikers, but also for swimming. Its maximum length is 12 kilometers, area of about 1,500 hectares, depth 95 meters, with the fluctuations of water up to 55 meters. Special, surreal beauty, Lake Rama has islands and peninsulas, including the famous Scit, where a Franciscan monastery is located. The Franciscans, who live in Bosnia since the end of the 13th century, built the monastery in Rama in the 15th century, before the arrival of the Turks.
